  • Our Approach

    Lipari Stone & Garden is located in Smith Valley in the Finger Lakes of upstate New York. Here, the landscape is dotted and criss-crossed with many great walls and barn foundations built into the hills, valleys, and hollows. The gorges of Ithaca are a great inspiration, their towering canyon walls of limestone eroded to look like precise craftsmanship.

    While there are many different types of stone to work with, LS&G prefers raw, uncut stones from local quarries, fields and gorges. Naturally eroded stone brings out a deeper character and story than saw-cut limestone or concrete blocks made to look like stone. A new wall of natural stones will have the appearance of great age and maturity beyond other types of materials. Every stone is completely unique, and thus every project has its own story to tell.
     
    In particular, the works of Dan Snow & Thea Alvin are a source of inspiration for LS&G.

    Consultation

    We’ll do a thorough walk-through with you to give you a full understanding of the project scope and your options.
    This initial consultation is free.

    Planning

    We will give you a full plan for your project, outlining the materials, budget, timing and payment schedule.

    Installation

    We will start work promptly on and agreed-upon date. We will keep you updated on the progress and notify you if any unexpected issues arise that may extend the delivery date.

    Walk-Through

    Our team will thoroughly clean the site, removing all equipment and unused materials. We’ll walk through the completed work with you, ensuring everything in the contract was completed.

    5

    Maintenance

    We will talk you through how to maintain our work and if needed, work out a maintenance agreement to keep your property beautiful.
